About Me
Hello! I’m Shera Jafaritabar, currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Physics at Heidelberg University. My passion lies at the intersection of cosmology and machine learning—I use advanced algorithms to peel back the layers of our universe’s history. For a full rundown of my academic work and coding research, head over to the Research page.
During my master’s I’ve tackled problems from missing baryons in IllustrisTNG mocks to vertical galactic disk models in industry internships, and my thesis focuses on inferring the past merging histories of galaxy clusters via hydrodynamical simulations.
Back in undergrad, I explored the physics of black holes, Hawking radiation, and the infamous information paradox. Those projects and my bachelor’s thesis are all detailed on the Research page.
Outside the university and code editor, you’ll find me painting, writing stories, reading, sharpening my chess game.
